THE LOOPS

A beautiful fairy was on a contemplation position over a clam’s shell besides the sea. Although time seems to have other meaning for these century living creatures, this fairy remembered that no so long ago there were more of its kind all jumping and playing along that beach. Now she was only with her couple alone, all the others disappeared one night attracted by the blue lures of an estrange creature that using this hypnotic light took them to the bottom of the sea.

Many nights like that, in sadness, the little fairy was only seated, as waiting for the return of the others. The young male fairy tried to distract her with small gifts, like a red-dark berries, fragrant and colourful flowers and even playing melodic songs with his stick flute. She only move her eyes a moment to look at him, and then, again to the immensity of the sea.

One night, he decided to look for the perfect gift, the one that return to her loved princes one smile to her face. Decided not return with out something special, he gave her a kiss and a hug and departed towards the mountains. She did not say a word; her hair just glowed for some instants and that was it.

The search for something that you don’t know yet is always difficult. He searched under and at the top of several old trees, inside death animals and flowers and yet nothing. By the 5th day he began to have second thoughts and considering the return. That night a storm unleashed, he just had time to find a hole in a hill to avoid the violent winds and water damage his wings. After several hours of raining, water started to filtrate through the walls of the hole, he thought, probably this is it, this is the end.

Suddenly the storm finished, just before to suffocate the poor fairy. When he was about to go out from his refuge he notices that one of the sidewalls, after being washed by the rainwater, discovered a piece of yellow metallic stone. He took that stone in his hands and because fairies have the power to transform metals, he thought in her loved wife and at that moment light came from his chest and hands, melting the metal, transforming it into two beautiful loop earrings.

He return immediately with her wife and he gave her these loops. She instantly changes her face, ayes and starting to glow through her hairs and wings. She kisses him and from that day her sorrow stoped after realising that he will be all the time with her.

One night, she went to the seashore to wet her feets and wash her face when suddenly blue light were everywhere around her. She could not see a shape but one big eye rose from the bottom watching her directly. A soft melodic voice asked her: How beautiful loops you have, where did you get it? She replied- my husband gave to me, and now go away because I will not fall in your tricks as my people do-. The monster replied- they are fine on my kingdom but if you give me one of your loops I will release them. She answered- Why you want such thing?—The big eye blinked and replied---Because only a fairy made piece of gold that also contains love can release me from this horrible form. She took off one of her loops and throw it to the water, where immediately blue light engulfed. Few moments after a big bubble emerged containing inside all the rest of the fairies

That night there was a big celebration but the little faire was a bit sad about her loop. His husband after seen this, told her that he saved an small piece of gold and as made before he will made other loop melted with his love for her.
